Russia: hothouse tomatoes continue falling in price
Bearish trend is observed on the hothouse tomato market, reported representatives of hothouse industrial complexes to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project. At the beginning of the week supply prices were declared within a range of 1.59-1.88 euro/kg, by the end of the week prices decreased by 30 % and to 1.16-1.31 euro/kg.
According to most market participants, increase of tomato supply imported form Turkey is the main reason for this reduction in prices. Wholesale prices for Turkish tomatoes are declared within a range of 0.87- 1.16 euro/kg depending on transport direction.
