Ukraine: producers are not sanisfied with cabbage prices

Cabbage producers are discontented with prices in the current season. At the moment offer prices are declared within a range of 0.05- 0.13 euro/kg, as compared to the same period of the last year when selling prices were fixed within a range of 0.13- 0.24 euro/kg.

As market participants reported, the main reason is growth of production rates inside the country that a ccording to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project , totals 40%. Low demand also has a negative impact on prices.

In these conditions, producers have difficulties with sales and have to decrease prices to draw customers.
