Moldova: harvest of fruits doubled

The fruit growers harvested rich crop of fruits this year, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.

According to the Ministry, the yield exceeded 140-144 c/ha. In general, fruits were harvested throughout 67.000 ha.

Harvesting campaign of apples and pears of late varieties is coming to the end.

Gross crop totals 335.000 tonnes, up almost twice that a year ago.
