Potato business of Ukraine-2008. State and prospects

Within the Fifth international conference :Fruits and vegetables of Ukraine-2008" (December, 2-3, 2008, Ukraine, Kiev, Expocenter of Ukraine) Tatyana Getman, Editor-in-Chief of "Agrooglyad: Fruits and Vegetables" will make a presentation called "Potato business of Ukraine-2008. State and prospects" following the results of the research with the above mentioned name.

The report will be presented on December, 2, 2008, within the session #2 - Prospects of trade and markets (Day 2nd: WTO and fruit-and-vegetable business of Ukraine: standards, prices, trade).

The thematic subjects of the session:

- The situation and prospects of wholsale trade of fresh fruit-and-vegetable produce after joining of Ukraine to the WTO (speaker - Roman Fedishin, General Director of Shuvar Ltd)

- Organic vegetables and fruits in Ukraine are reality. New market niches for greenhouses and other producers (speaker - Eugeniy Milovanov, the President of the Federation of organic movement of Ukraine)

- Fruit-and-vegetable brand in the conditions of WTO (speaker - Igor Chertilin, Director on Strategic development of the company "Tortilla")

- How to solve a problem of shortage of high-qualified specialists and seasonal workers for fruit-and-vegetable business

- Prospects of imports of main vegetables and fruits to Ukraine in a new season. The structure and dynamics of imports by main positions

- New requirements to safety and quality of produce after joining to WTO
