Ukraine: volume of imported grapes decreased by 30%

According to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project, in September 2008, 15.736 tonnes of grapes were imported to Ukraine , down 30 % compared to the same period of the last year (22.586 tonnes).

During 9 months of the current year, 40.326 tonnes of grapes were imported. The average import price totaled 598.4 euro/tone. In general, grapes were imported from Poland, import volume reached 66.000 tonnes that totaled 62 % from the general import volume. Also, the produce was imported from Georgia (18.642 tonnes or 18 %). 6.932 tonnes were imported from Italy.

According to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project, during 2007, 66.333 tonnes of grapes were imported to Ukraine with the average import price totaled 225.68 euro/tone.
