Russia: prices for hothouse tomatoes continued decreasing

Prices for hothouse tomatoes continued decreasing, reported representatives of hothouses industrial complexes to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project. In the end of the week sellers declared the selling prices within a range of 1.02- 1.45 euro/kg, whereas during the last week the minimal price was fixed at 1.32 euro/kg.

According to market participants, lots of tomatoes produced by Turkey and Morocco entered the Russian market was the main reason of the current situation. At the moment prices for imported tomatoes are declared within a range of 0.73-1.32 euro/kg depending on qualitative indices.
