Information for fruit and vegetables business in CIS
Russia: prices for lemons 25% down
According to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project, prices for lemons decreased by 25 % as compared to the same indices of the last year.
According to representatives of wholesale companies, prices are declared within a range of 1.16- 1.45 euro/kg, at the same time during the last year the minimal price was fixed at 1.4 euro/kg. The main reason of high prices in 2007 was low-capacity shipments of lemons from Turkey, whereas during the current year, in addition to Turkish produce there are lemons from Argentina.
