Russia: prices for filbert 30% down
Prices for filbert of Azerbaijan origin continue decreasing, reported specialists of wholesale companies to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project. At the moment selling prices are declared within a range of 4.94-5.51 euro/kg , down 11 % compared to the earlier fixed prices and down 28 % from the same indices of 2007. As most market participants reported, a substantial increase of filbert yield in Turkey was the main reason for reduction in prices.
According to forecasts of market operators, the further price situation development of the Russian filbert market will depend on price situation in Turkey.
