Russia: overproduction of lettuce

Overproduction of lettuce is observed in the Russian Federation, reported representatives of hothouse industrial complexes to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project. During the current year, many farms extended areas in the hothouses under lettuce. As a result, number of lettuce supplies increased.

At the moment, selling prices are declared within a range of 0.28- 0.43 euro/kg. Sellers do not forecast price increasing in the nearest future, as customers’ activeness remains quite low.
