Ukraine: prices for hothouse cucumbers and tomatoes to increase
Prices for hothouse cucumbers and tomatoes may increase after the New Year’ holidays due to tariff growth for gas, reported UBR.ru. The next crop will be harvested after the new price for gas. The price for enterprises which use biofuel will increase by 35%. Price for industrial farms will be much higher. However, market competitiveness may prevent rise in prices for this produce. Turkish cucumbers are much cheaper including transportation costs. Thus, small producers will go bankrupt, industrial hothouses will decrease margin by 10-15%.
