Ukraine to cancel export duties for cattle and tannery materials
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers submitted to Parliament a bill, stipulating cancellation of export duties for cattle and tannery materials, an official of Ukraine's agriculture ministry informed March 4.
He said cancellation of the duty had been necessitated by high demand for these products in the international markets. The move will help Ukraine expand sales markets for its pivestock industry products, the official said.
Export duty for cattle pelt was introduced in 1996 un the amount of 30 percent of customs value, for sheep pelts - 30 percent, for swine pelts -27 percent of customs value. Export duty for live cattle has been 75 percent of customs value.
