Ukraine's AgMin considering reduction of export duty for sunseeds to 6-7 pc
There is a discussion currently in progress in Ukraine's Agrarian Policy Ministry about a cut of export duty for sunflower seeds to 6 or 7 percent, the Minister Serhiy Ryzhuk told the Second International Conference "Grain Industry-2002".
This connected with an increase in sown area under sunflower this year, partially caused by the loss of winter crops. The export potential for sunseeds will thus increase and reduction of the duty from current 17 to 6 or 7 percent will enable to put in balance the domestic and export markets of seeds.
"We want to study the situation from all the sides", the Minister said to the Conference participants.
