Governmental commission will controll imports of ammonium nitrate to Ukraine

According to Agency of Industrial News, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade has considered the report of the Ministry of Economy about special investigation of imports to Ukraine of ammonium nitrate. Based on the materials, provided to the Ministry by domestic producers, consumers, foreign experts, State Customs Service and other organisations and interested parties, the Commission has decided to assume measures for supervision of imports to Ukraine of ammonium nitrate, irrespective of the country of origin.

Now import into the customs territory of Ukraine of a commodity, classified under the code of 3102 30 9000 as "Mineral and chemical fertilisers, nitrous fertilisers: ammonium nitrate, including its water solution, and other" will be possible after granting to a corresponding customs body of Ukraine of a permission for import, which is issued by the ministry of Economy. Validity of the permission is limited by 90 days from the date of issuance.

This procedure will stay in effect within a year after the decision is made, i.e. the date of its expiry is May 16, 2004.

The imports of ammonium nitrate to Ukraine will be possible on a condition that the imported commodity, the terms and conditions of its import correspond to the data, stated in the permission. Imports of ammonium nitrate without the permission or without the certificate of origin of the commodity are prohibited.
