President signed law about import of 360,000 t of raw sugar to Ukraine

President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma June 5 signed the Law "About Import of Cane-Origin Raw Sugar to Ukraine in 2003", stipulating imports of 360,000 tonnes of raw sugar with the rate of import duty 6 euros per tonne, the President's Press-Secretary Olena Hromnytska has informed.

Some days before - on May 29 - the President signed the law "About State Budget for 2003", also providing for imports of raw sugar in the amount of 200,000 tonnes, with import duty 60 euros per tonne.

Thus, the import of raw sugar to the country is now regulated by two laws, providing for a total import of 560,000 tonnes of raw sugar in this year.
