Court considered act of tax inspectors against L. Kozachenko to be illegal
According to UNIAN news agency, Pechersk District Court of Kiev, having considered the appeal of lawyers on the civil case of Ukraine's ex-Deputy-Prime-Minister for Agriculture Leonid Kozachenko, considered the act, issued by Pechersk District Tax Inspectorate of Kiev, to be illegal. The act had stated non-payment of taxes by L. Kozachenko on receipt of the shares of company Ukragrobusiness, which Kozachenko headed for several years, for the total sum of about 1.5 million hryvnias. The information was provided by Kozachenko's lawyer Ihor Usenko.
He said the essence of the act of tax inspectors was that L. Kozachenko had not declared the shares he received from the owners of Ukragrobusiness - foreign companies Dzenika and Novartis. The news agency reported the statement of Usenko that should the court have considered the act of state inspectors to be lawful, Kozachenko would have to pay more than 500,000 hryvnia worth of taxes.
