President is sure Ukraine will harvest 30 mln t of grain

President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma is sure that Ukraine will harvest 30 million tonnes of grain in this year. He said that this was the forecast of the Economy Ministry and it was confirmed by space observations.

"The research, made by USA and Russia, confirms this", the President said.

Ministry of Agrarian Policy has forecasted a decrease of grain crop this year by 8 to 10 million tonnes in comparison with 2002 - down to 28.8-30.8 million tonnes. Grain crop in 2002 constituted 38.8 million tonnes.
