Prices for foodstuffs in Ukraine are being stabilised, says Yanukovych

Price situation on Ukrainian food market is being stabilised; it is being held under control of government, Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych has declared, speaking to a press-conference in the town of Chernovtsy.

"Situation on the consumer market is being gradually normalised", he said.

He said he had discussed the situation with local authorities of several regions. At those meetings price dynamics was analysed as of 27 July. There are some differences in price levels in the regions, but on the whole the trend of price reduction is now in place, he said.
