Ukraine to lower flour exports

According to the customs data, in August 2010, Ukraine exported 4.3 thsd tonnes of wheat flour, a decrease of 22% compared to July 2010, and down 3 times compared to the export volumes in August of the previous year.

During July-August of 2010/11 MY, wheat flour export trading totaled 9.9 thsd tonnes as opposed to 25.9 thsd tonnes in the same period of the last MY.

At the same time, in the reporting month, rye flour exports from Ukraine totaled 247 tonnes.

Moldova was the main importer of Ukrainian wheat flour.

In August, wheat flour imports to Ukraine totaled 168 tonnes, down 27% compared to the previous month. In the reporting month, the import volumes also decreased by 17% compared to the same month of the previous year. Russia was the main supplier of wheat flour to Ukraine.

Thus, during July-August of 2010/11 MY, Ukraine imported 397 tonnes of flour, up 12% compared to the same period of the last season.

At the same time, rye flour imports to Ukraine totaled 444 tonnes. Belarus was the main supplier of the product to Ukraine.
