Fruit and vegetable produce to have increased by another 1% in price within a week

Fruit and vegetable index of Fruit-Inform shows that value of fruit and vegetable basket of a Ukrainian consumer have increased by another 1% within the last week. The main cause of growth was continuing increase of prices for fruits as a result of complicated situation at Ukrainian customs. So, fruit basket grew by 4% in price during the week, notwithstanding exclusion of watermelons from the rating, as they kept on increase in price, but season of their consumption is practically over. Oranges hold record growth in prices within the week, as they were up by 25%. At the same time, it should be noted that prices for vegetables for keeping were slightly down. But some decrease in prices for cucumbers within the week was fully compensated by growth of prices for tomatoes.
