As of September 24, Ukraine produced 3.6 mln tonnes of sunflower

According to operative data, as of September 24, 2010, Ukrainian agrarians harvested grains throughout the areas of 12.94 mln ha (88% of the planned areas), and produced 33.5 mln tonnes of grains. At the same time, the average yield of grains and leguminous plants in Ukraine totaled 25.9 c/ha.

As of the reporting date, Ukrainian agrarians continue the harvesting campaign of buckwheat, and produced 137 thsd tonnes of the grain throughout 164 thsd ha (79% of the forecasted areas), with the average yield of 8.4 c/ha.

Besides, agrarians harvested 123 thsd tonnes of millet, with the average yield of the grain at the level of 15.4 c/ha.

As of the reporting date, Ukrainian agrarians also produced 4.23 mln tonnes of maize (39%), with the average yield of 40.3 c/ha.

Ukrainian agricultural producers harvested sunflower seed throughout 2.33 mln ha (52% of the forecasted areas), and produced 3.6 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield of 15.4 c/ha.

Ukrainian agricultural organizations also produced 523 thsd tonnes of soybean throughout 341 thsd ha, with the average yield of 15.3 c/ha.

As of September 24, Ukrainian agrarians sowed winter crops (without winter rapeseed) throughout 3.38 mln ha, which totaled 40% from the forecasted areas. Winter grains sowing areas totaled 3.36 mln ha (40%). The general planned winter grains sowing areas total 8.57 mln ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians sowed winter wheat throughout 3.08 mln ha, or 46% from the forecasted areas.

Also, Ukrainian agrarians continued the sowing campaigns of rye and barley. As of the reporting date, agricultural producers sowed barley throughout 73 thsd ha (5%), and rye – throughout 207 thsd ha, or 60% from the planned areas.

Besides, Ukraine sowed winter rapeseed throughout 948 thsd ha, or 77% from the planned areas.
