Ukraine is amongst major European importers of Chinese apple juice concentrate
According to analysts of Fruit-Inform, Ukraine is amongst 10 largest European importers of apple juice concentrate (AJC), while at the same time, being rather large exporter. According to experts' estimations, about 5% of Chinese AJC being supplied to Europe arrives at Ukraine.
It should be noted that Ukrainian AJC has higher value at global market than Chinese one due to higher acidity. That's why Ukrainian fruit and berry juice producers dilute Ukrainian AJC with Chinese one, and Ukrainian AJC producers actively export surplus to market of EU.
In the season 2010/2011, Ukraine will be one of few European countries where AJC production will increase due to growth of apple production and purchasing prices for industrial apples.
