Leading apple producers of Ukraine, Russia and Moldova are meeting at fruit and vegetable pavilion of Stolychnyi Wholesale Market, Kiev, Ukraine, August 11, 2011
The first in the CIS international conference exclusively dealing with the number-one fruit has obtained the active support among major producers of apples. As of today, their participation was confirmed by such large producers as Sad-Gigant (Russia), Crimean Fruit Company, Bukovinskiy Sad, Vesna, Pobeda (Ukraine), and many others. The conference will also be attended by major producers from Moldova. In addition to these companies, there is a wide range of medium-scale and small producers among those who have registered their participation in the event.
According to preliminary estimates, these producers will produce more than 150 thous. tonnes of fresh apples in the aggregate in 2011. For comparison, the overall yearly volume of the Ukrainian market for domestic and imported apples amounts to about 400 thous. tonnes. In addition, these producers dispose of modern ULO-storage facilities with the storage capacity of more than 60 thous. tonnes.
The high interest to the conference is shown also by the wholesale trade representatives who always look for contacts with suppliers of high-quality apples in the CIS. It is active participation of trade companies and the fact that the conference is taking place at Stolychnyi, the largest wholesale market of Ukraine, to afford a great opportunity to producers to receive maximum financial returns from participation in the event.
Traditionally, the conference will also be attended by suppliers of seedlings, machinery and equipment for apple production, storage and post-harvesting. Schoeller Arca Systems is the general sponsor of the conference. The event is also sponsored by Fito-Mag (Russia).
