Ukraine's fruit and vegetable business reaching new international frontiers
In the end of 2011 Ukraine will have the long-expected event – the first really international exhibition - hosted for all participants of the CIS fruit and vegetable business and focused on production, post-harvesting, processing technological aspects and marketing of produce. The exhibition will take place at IEC (International Exhibition Center), the most state-of-the-art expocenter of Ukraine, in the city of Kyiv.
As of today, the exhibition stands have been already booked by the leading international companies such as Syngenta, AgroFresh (SmartFresh), Enza Zaden, Agrico, Nickerson Zwaan, Plattenhardt + Wirth and many others. Furthermore, we expect key fruit and vegetable countries of the world, such as Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland and others, to have collective stands at the exhibition. Applications were also accepted from the following industry associations: Association of Wholesale Markets of Ukraine, Union of Mushroom Producers of Ukraine; and participation of Ukrainian Potato Association is very probable. In addition, there are such well-known companies as Mediterranean Fruit Company, Ukrainian Pooling System, Holland Rosetta, Fito-Mag, Insolar, Seed-Agro, Shuvar, Stolychnyi Wholesale Market and many others among exhibitors.
Thanks to Fruit-Inform Project (Ukraine, Russia), BTO Exhibitions BV (the Netherlands), and City of Dreams (Ukraine) being the exhibition organizers, Fresh Produce Ukraine 2011 will be a really professional and international fair. Fruit-Inform Project has the largest in the CIS experience in professional analysis of the Eastern European fruit and vegetable business and hundreds of clients from the global fruit and vegetable business. City of Dreams has successful longstanding experience in organization of high-level exhibitions in Ukraine, and BTO Exhibitions BV disposes of connections and best practices in organization of international sales of exhibitions for food products all over the globe.
“ Fresh Produce Ukraine 2011 is the unique event in the CIS and Eastern Europe, as it really enables to learn all fruit and vegetable business sides and technological aspects in one place and offers abundant conference program while other fairs usually limit themselves to presentation of finished products often bought in local supermarkets”, Tetiana Getman, Head of Fruit-Inform Project, says. “Moreover, we guarantee a high attendance level of target clients (producers and traders) thanks to availability of the call-center that has already started its work for Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and other CIS countries.”
Organizers also note that the exhibition is hosted during the period most convenient for producers, fruit and vegetable traders and input, equipment and machinery suppliers – from November 30th to December 2nd, 2011 – and takes place in conjunction with the largest fruit and vegetable conference in the country: ”Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine – 2011. New Exporter” and International Trade Forum on fruits and vegetables.
As practice shows, in early December producers have the harvesting campaign finished, dispose of means and time to purchase machinery, equipment and materials and are ready to conclude contracts on distribution of stored produce and develop plans for the following year. Traders actively prepare for seasonal pre-New Year sales and conclude contracts of supply of Ukrainian and imported produce. Suppliers of seeds, input, equipment and machinery also conclude contracts for the following year at this period of time. And, what is of no small importance, the international calendar of fruit and vegetable business fairs being the most eventful in October and the first half of November has practically no important conferences or exhibitions taking place in late November – early December.
Organizers expect Fresh Produce Ukraine 2011 to have about 100-120 exhibitors participating in the exhibition and not less than 10,000 visitors from 25 countries of the world attending it. To take the opportunity of participation in this event, you should fill in an application form.
