Daily prices for vegetables, fruits, berries and mushrooms in Poland are available now on site of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal
Starting from today, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal jointly with the Agricultural Marketing Project start to publish daily prices on major vegetables, fruits, berries and mushrooms on Bronisze market, the largest wholesale market in the Eastern Europe. For users' convenience, the prices for major produce are converted from Polish zloty into Ukrainian hryvnya at rate of the National Bank of Ukraine. The information is daily published in "Wholesale markets prices" section of www.lol.org.ua site.
Warsaw agricultural-produce wholesale market BRONISZE is located at 15 km distance from the center of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. It is one of the main price-forming centers for the produce in the EU countries. The prices of this market are the benchmark for a lot of wholesale companies - fruit and vegetable traders, and also for producers and processors. Poland is the largest supplier of fresh produce to Ukrainian market, and Ukrainian companies find step-by-step the possibilities to export some national fruits and vegetables to the markets of Poland and other EU countries. So, the experts believe this information will be very important for the produce business development in this region.
Andrey Yarmak, the Senior Market Information Specialist of the Agricultural Marketing Project says that the launch of this service will increase the interest to the mutual trade of fresh produce between the countries. The service can also even the price difference between two countries' markets, as Polish prices for some fruits and vegetables influence Ukrainian prices. A user will define the export or import opportunities for the national produce due to the simple price comparison.
This information is available both in Ukrainian and Russian; so it will be interesting for the companies from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Uzbekistan and some other GIS countries which have been already involved into fruit and vegetable trade with Poland or just started to develop this opportunity. Until Polish produce supplies to Russia were banned, Poland had been the largest fruit and vegetable supplier to this market.
In the nearest future the Agricultural Marketing Project and "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal plan to start publishing on www.lol.org.ua site daily prices on the main wholesale markets of Ukraine and Poland in English, so that the international produce trade can be activated as well.
