In the coming months two most important events for the produce market in Eastern Europe will be conducted under support of the Agricultural Marketing Project
The Agricultural Marketing Project has been working in Ukraine since 2003; it continues providing effective support to the regional produce business. This year, to a large extent due to the Project's efforts, on the territory of Eastern Europe at once two events of produce business will be conducted on the highest level. The first international conference "Produce Business in Russia 2006" will be conducted mid October in Moscow; the third international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2006. Open Market" will take place early December in Kyiv.
The role of the Agricultural Marketing Project in the mentioned events is to provide interesting programs of these events, and to engage for participation the best experts of the produce markets in Russia, Ukraine, Poland and other countries. The Project proved high efficiency of such activities during two international conferences already conducted with a great success in Kyiv in 2004 and 2005. And, the Project facilitated the conduction of numerous (up to 60 events) regional, national and even international Field days and Orchard days.
To the opinion of Andrey Yarmak, the Deputy Director of the Agricultural Marketing Project, at once two events in the regional produce business mark high rates of this business development, and also its entrance to the phase of quality development. "The players of grain and oil markets in Ukraine and Russia have been meeting at the specialized international events for a long time. All leading companies participate in such annual events: producers and processors, large traders, logistics companies, suppliers of inputs, equipment and machinery, the expert says.
"Grain and oil producers have been effectively using the mentioned events to get new ideas and contacts. They also discuss different approaches to business development, carry out the strategies for dynamic growth and commodity promotion. At the same time, fruit and vegetable business has been developing quite chaotically until recently. The leading companies often knew nothing about many potential partners, buyers and competitors operating on market. The experience proves that international conferences help market players find effective solution to the mentioned problems and even raise the industry on a qualitatively new level of its development.", A. Yarmak continues.
It is worth mentioning that large international exhibitions with very specific produce focus are conducted simultaneously with the conferences under support of the Agricultural Marketing Project. Such combination increases the efficiency of the international conferences much. This year APK-Inform company, the sub-contractor of the Project, obtained an exclusive right to form national stand of Ukrainian companies at the international exhibition in Moscow. APK-Inform company has a discount that provides Ukrainian companies (especially canneries, greenhouse complexes, producers of frozen commodities) with the additional opportunities to enter Russian market and promote Ukrainian produce there.
The experts of the Agricultural Marketing Project and APK-Inform company are ready to provide any additional information regarding the mentioned events; they will gladly recommend to each potential participant the most optimal form of participation depending from existing needs.
