On September 14th Cherkasy office of the Agricultural Marketing Project will conduct Orchard day dedicated to apple production

On the 14th of September 2006 Cherkasy office of the Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) will conduct Orchard day on the basis of YABLUNEVIY SAD farm in the village Shevchenkovo, Zvenigorod rayon. The local orchardists know this farm as a training basis for implementation of modern world technologies of apple production. Practical seminars have been conducted at this farm under AMP support for the third year already; these events are focused on dissemination of advanced experience of apple production and marketing. Together with the local orchardists, the producers from the neighboring oblasts and even countries always participate in Orchard day activities. Assisting practical orchardists, scientists and the representatives of input companies participate in these seminars too. Each time the seminar participants get new information about technologies, protection systems, and marketing practices. Such events additionally stimulate the development of intensive orcharding in Cherkasy oblast.

The Orchard day starts at 10:00. The participation in the event is free of charge.
