The registration of the participants of the third international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2006. Open Market" expires today in the evening. "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal, the organizer of the conference announces that the applications submitted after 11:59 p.m. Kyiv time on November 24th 2006 will be considered only in case of the available free places.
As of today, more than 300 professionals of the produce business from 16 world countries have confirmed their participation in the event. The general sponsor of the conference is AGRIMATCO UKRAINE company, the largest international supplier of inputs, machinery and equipment.
The conference is also sponsored by OLVITA company, Ukrainian enterprise with Dutch investments. This company leads the market of fresh and fresh-cut salads; OLVITA is the largest supplier of fresh produce and a valuable player of the market of flash frozen vegetable, fruit and berry commodities. AGROPACK company, one of the leaders of Russian market of produce packing, is another sponsor; it has recently opened the representative office in Ukraine.
Russian company RUSBANA ENGINEERING sponsors the forum dedicated to post harvest handling, storage and packing of produce commodities. This company also has its representative office in Kyiv. During the same forum such well-known companies will speak as American AgroFresh company (SmartFresh technology), English SORTEX company (Buhler Group), Russian PHYTOMAG company, Dutch ALTRACON company and others.
Fruit and berry forum promises to be very interesting as well. The forum's sponsor, Ekland Marketing Company of California, is experienced in strawberry production in 45 world countries; it is actively entering Ukrainian market now. The forum participants will also listen to an interesting report about commercial production of cultivar blueberries and Japan quince, as well as other non-traditional berry crops. A well-know scientist and practitian Prof. Alexander Melnik, the Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, the Chief of Fruit and Grape Production Department, Uman State Agrarian University, will speak about the trends observed in modern orcharding technologies.
