Kiev to get up-to-date wholesale market already in 2011
In 2011, Kiev will have the first turn of up-to-date wholesale market in operation, where it will be possible to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, meat, and fish. This was told by Roman Fedishin, Director of Shuvar, the only up-to-date wholesale market in Ukraine, during work of the seventh international conference ”Vegetables and Fruit of Ukraine-2010”.
New wholesale market will be located on the area of 130 ha near Kiev circular road, and its first turn will cost investors UAH 302 million (about EUR 29 million). The first turn includes fruit and vegetable pavilion with pre-sale preparation, fish terminal, meat terminal, flower pavilion, indoor ground for trading from cars, vegetable long-term storage facility, and customs clearance zone. Major producers and representatives of retail trade enterprises participating in the conference showed high interest in renting of places on the territory of new market.
