Ukraine prolonged VAT bills payment in imports of grains and grain products
Ukraine's government extended to up to 120 days, but no longer than till December 31, 2003, the term of retirement of bills, being issued on the sum of value added tax, in imports to the country of wheat, rye, flour and groats, produced from any kinds of grain crops, Interfax-Ukraine news agency has reported.
The relevant government's resolution was issued on September 23.
The standard term of VAT bills payment in imports is 90 days.
In late August the government extended to up to 120 days (but no longer than till December 31, 2003) the term of bills payment for those grain importers, who provide lodgement of grain into the State Reserve.
According to the news agency, Ukrainian government intends to import this year about 1.2 million tonnes of grain from Kazakhstan and 1 million tonnes from Russian Federation. Import grain supplies on intergovernmental agreements are provided by State Joint Stock Company "Khlib Ukrainy" and the Committee for Management of State Reserve.
