Prices for traditional vegetables in Russia 2 times lower than last year

According to Fruit-Inform Project, current prices for traditional vegetables in Russia are averagely 2 times lower than last year. The main reason for such a situation lies in expansion of planted areas and absence of critical weather conditions which were registered in the country last year.

Cabbage prices fell the most: averagely 5 times. Onions and red beets are averagely 40% lower in price. Carrot and potato prices decreased by 15-20% and keep on actively sagging. Cucumbers are 5-10% cheaper than last year, tomatoes – almost 40% cheaper.
