MinTrans introduced new discounts for transit cargos transhipment
On November 4, 2003 the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine issued an order, introducing new discounts from blanket rates for transhipment of transit cargos in some of the country's seaports, SeaNews agency has informed. The order extends and modifies the list of the discounts, introduced by similar orders of April 30 and August 29 this year.
The extra discounts are introduced for the following ports and the loads: Berdyansk port (mineral fertilisers, loads in bags, ferrous metals), Reni port (grain cargos destined to Moldova, iron ores and related goods, coke, bagged food cargos), Ust-Dunayski port (bagged cargos).
The system of discounts for transhipment of containers in Odessa and Ilyichovsk ports has been modified. The new order introduces 50-percent discounts for transhipment of containers to all destination, including 20-, 40-foot and larger containers.
