Odessa port's working results in Jan.-Nov. 2003

According to operative information over the 11 months of 2003, the facilities of Odessa seaport handled 30.479 million tonnes of cargos, including 11.452 million tonnes of dry cargoes and 19.027 million tonnes of liquid ones.

In comparison with the same period of 2002 the volumes of transhipment increased in the following items: import grains - by 214,000 tonnes, transit grains - by 429,000 tonnes, import raw sugar - by 820,000 tonnes, containers - by 385,000 tonnes.

Transhipments of the following commodities dropped from last year: export grains - by 1.215 million tonnes, export fertilisers - by 84,000 tonnes, transit raw sugar - by 53,000 tonnes.

In order that the port reach the record level of the cargos turnover in 2002, it will have to handle in December no less than 3.1 million tonnes of cargos.
