Ukraine banned import of poultry meat from US State of Maryland because of "bird flu"
State Department of Veterinary Medicine has introduced a ban onto import of poultry and poultry-origin products from the American State of Maryland, because of registration on its territory of dangerous infectious disease, known as "bird flu", press-service of Ukraine's Agrarian Policy Ministry informed, according to Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
The State Department earlier prohibited the imports of poultry and poultry products from the States of Delaware and Texas.
The imports of poultry meat had been also banned from the East-Asian countries - Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, China, Pakistan and South Korea - because of the same disease.
