Russia: 558,000 t of grains sold in ten days of grain interventions
According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on March 10 the number of accredited participants of tenders at the state commodity interventions on the grain market increased from 201 to 209 flour and groats-milling enterprises from all the seven federal districts. Ninety organisations from four geographical zones - "Centre", "South-1", "South-2" and "Ural" - were permitted to participate in trades.
The amount of grain, put up for tender on this day, again was a record over the course of intervention trades - 128,500 tonnes, including 20,400 tonnes of milling wheat Class 3, 94,000 tonnes of wheat Class 4 and 14,200 tonnes of milling rye Group A. The trades participants concluded 22 contracts for the total amount of 82,400 tonnes of grains. The amount of the purchased wheat Class 4 constituted 76,500 tonnes at the average price 3,597 roubles per tonne, of milling rye - 5,900 tonnes at 2,506 roubles per tonne. The wheat Class 3, offered for tender, was not purchased.
Totally over the ten days of the exchange trades the amount of grain, sold from the state fund, constituted 558,020 tonnes, including 153,900 tonnes of wheat Class 3, 325,200 tonnes of wheat Class 4 and 78,900 tonnes of milling rye.
