Russia: 681,600 t of grain sold in 14 days of grain interventions

According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on March 18 the number of accredited participants of exchange tenders at the state commodity interventions on the grain market increased from 236 to 238 milling and groat producing enterprises from all the seven federal districts. 136 organisations from five geographical zones - "Centre", "Povolzhye-1", "Povolzhye-2", "Siberia-1" and "Far East" - were allowed to participate in tenders.

There were tendered 41,050 tonnes of grain, including 17,050 tonnes of 3 class wheat, 13,000 tonnes of 4 class wheat and 11,000 tonnes of milling rye (Group A). The exchange tenders participants signed 23 contracts for the whole grain volume from the intervention stocks tendered at that day.

Thus, during fourteen days of exchange tenders there were sold 681,600 tonnes of grains from State Reserve of Russian Federation, including 212,400 tonnes of 3 class wheat, 368,000 tonnes of 4 class wheat and 101,300 tonnes of milling rye.
