"Khlib Ukrainy" initiates mortgage purchases of 2004 crop wheat

State Joint Stock Company of Ukraine "Khlib Ukrainy" proposes to set mortgage prices for 2004 crop milling wheat at 600-610 hryvnias pr tonne (excepted VAT), the Head of the Company Victor Bondarenko said.

According to V. Bondarenko, "Khlib Ukrainy" plans to buy about 200,000 tonnes of new crop milling grain using mortgage purchases and about 300,000 tonnes - using direct purchases for intervention stocks. The grain prices for intervention purchases are unknown yet.

As it was reported before, according to governmental plan for 2004, "Khlib Ukrainy" has to buy 500,000 tonnes of new crop grain.

Mortgage purchases mean grain buying for expenses reimbursement of it manufacturing and providing minimum profit if prices drop on the domestic market.
