Russia increases apple puree imports in October
Russia's apple puree imports in October this year were 1.8 times of those from July to September in the aggregate. Import volumes amounted to 1,700 tonnes that was 16 times higher compared with October last year.
Total imports from July to October exceeded 2,600 tonnes that was 2.4 times higher year-on-year.
An increase in import volumes was registered thanks to higher imports of apple puree from Chile. From July to October this year, Chile exported 2,300 tonnes of this product to the Russian Federation. Chilean exports in October amounted to 1,500 tonnes, while in the same month of the previous year Russia had imported only 305 tonnes of apple puree from Chile.
In such a way, the share of Chile in Russia's total apple puree imports over 4 months amounted to 88%.
