Apple shortage in Poland
Some Polish growers have already finished their season, which, under conditions of high demand, provokes a further increase in apple prices in the internal market. According to farmers, Russian importers' demand for Polish apples has been steadily growing since early March. At the same time, sales in the internal market have been unsatisfactory since the start of the season.
Russian buyers display special interest in apples from CA-storage facilities despite their relatively high prices: 0.24-0.51 euro/kg, depending on variety and size.
