Imported apples grow in price in Russia
An increase in prices is currently observed in the Russian apple market. Prices of relatively inexpensive imported apples started growing. At the same time, premium-quality fruits remain stable in price.
Price growth was reported by sellers of Polish apples due to higher selling prices in Poland, which is a traditional situation for this period of the season.
Minimum prices of newly arrived red apples (Idared, Champion, Gloster) amount to RUB 30/kg (EUR 0.73/kg). Prices of earlier purchased fruits are no lower than RUB 27-28/kg (EUR 0.65-0.68/kg).
The majority of Russian growers have already finished their season. Last apples are shipped at no lower than RUB 20/kg (EUR 0.48/kg).
