Belarus more than doubles imports of Polish pears in Q3 of 2012/13
Belarus imported 2,500 tons of Polish pears in the Q3 of the season 2012/13, two and a half times of imports in the same period of the previous season, when imports had reached just 1,000 tons.
However, despite a significant increase in exports, Belarus is still behind Russia in imports of Polish pears. In the Q3 of 2012/13, Russia imported 4,300 tons of pears from Poland, a decrease of 22% year-on-year.
Poland's total pear exports in the Q3 of 2012/13 did not change year-on-year and stood at slightly more than 9,000 tons.
