Ukraine: no changes in apple prices compared with 2012

The Ukrainian market participants say of still low demand for apples in the country, which does not enable growers to raise prices of their produce.

For the present, autumn varieties account for the largest share in sales, and their prices are not higher than UAH 3-4/kg (EUR 0.28-0.37/kg), which is almost similar to the price levels in October 2012.

Nevertheless, more expensive winter apples are not in demand in the Ukrainian market, therefore growers prefer to store those apples.

We would remind you that more detailed information about the Ukrainian fruit and vegetable market developments will be presented at the 10th Anniversary International Conference “Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine-2013”, November 26-28, 2013, International Exhibition Center, Kiev, Ukraine.
