Russia: record low imports of grape juice in September
Russia has significantly reduced imports of grape juice in the beginning of the season 2013/14, according to the official statistics.
The Russian Federation halved imports in September compared with the same month of 2012, and they reached just 600 tons, the lowest result in that month over the past 5 years.
Cumulative imports of grape juice over the first 3 months of the season 2013/14 reached 2,300 tons, also almost a half of imports in July-September 2012, when they had amounted to 4,300 tons.
We would remind you that Russian importers purchased more than 15,000 tons of grape juice in the season 2012/13 with Spain, Argentina and Italy being the key suppliers.
