Weak export activity in Polish apple market

The Polish market participants say of still weak export activity in the apple market.

Exporters increase their requirements to produce, and it is more difficult for growers to sell apples from ordinary storage facilities. Exporters have started reducing purchase prices for apples from those storage facilities and raised them for produce from storage facilities with cooling.

Lobo and Cortland apples are now in highest demand among exporters with their prices varying between 0.19-0.20 euro/kg. Red varieties are sold at 0.19-0.21 euro/kg (70+ size).
