Ukraine: pears still less expensive year-on-year

Pear prices at Ukrainian wholesale markets are still lower compared with last year.

In particular, pears are sold at Shuvar Wholesale Market, Lviv (West of Ukraine), at 0.80 euro/kg, a decrease of 10% compared with early December 2012.

As regards Stolychnyi Wholesale Market, Kiev, pear prices average 1.06 euro/kg and are 20% lower year-on-year. Pears also became less expensive at Ozerka Wholesale Market, Dnipropetrovsk (center of Ukraine), and are offered at 1.07 euro/kg, a decrease of 29%.

Prices did not change at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol (South of Ukraine), where pears are now sold at 1.46 euro/kg.

Higher pear prices are registered at Kopani Wholesale Market, Kherson region (South of Ukraine): they have doubled year-on-year and stand at 0.89 euro/kg.
