Mixed pear price situation at Ukrainian wholesale markets
Pear prices went up by 25% week-on-week at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol (South of Ukraine), and now average 1.75 euro/kg. Prices have also risen by 11% on the year-on-year basis.
At the same time, pear prices did not change at Stolychnyi Wholesale Market, Kiev, compared with last week and stand at 1.05 euro/kg. Furthermore, compared with the same period of the previous season, prices went down by 20%.
As regards Shuvar Wholesale Market, Lviv (West of Ukraine), pears also became less expensive there compared with 2012. Now pears are shipped at 0.79 euro/kg, which is 36% lower than last year.
Pear prices at Kopani Wholesale Market, Kherson region (South of Ukraine), went up by 30% year-on-year and reached 1.14 euro/kg.
