Ukraine: record low apple exports in November

Ukraine has significantly lowered apple exports in November 2013 compared both with previous month and year, according to the official statistics.

As like last year, Ukraine's apple exports decreased by 18% compared with October 2013 and totaled 1,800 tons. However, compared with November 2012, the export volumes went down by 28%. Furthermore, apple exports in November 2013 were the lowest over the past 5 years.

Ukraine's cumulative exports over the first 5 months of the season 2013/14 amounted to 7,200 tons, almost a half of the export volumes in the same period of the previous season.
