Chile leads in raisin exports to Russia
Chile has outstripped Iran and become the leader in raisin exports to the Russian Federation since the beginning of the current season.
Russia's imports of Chilean raisins in November 2012 totaled 1,000 tons, an increase of 60% year-on-year and the highest result over the past 5 years.
Chile's cumulative exports of raisins to the Russian Federation over the first 5 months of the current season amounted to 4,000 tons, an increase of a third compared with July-November 2012.
We would remind you that Chile was the third largest exporter of raisins to Russia in the previous season with only Iran and Afghanistan exporting more.
