Russia: record low imports of Turkish grapes
Turkey has been reducing exports of grapes to the Russian Federation in the current season, according to the official statistics.
In the first half of the season 2013/14, Russian importers purchased just 119,000 tons of Turkish grapes, a decrease of 10% year-on-year and the lowest result over the past 4 years.
Despite that, Turkey is still the largest exporter of grapes to Russia. The share of Turkey in Russia's total grape imports in the first half of the current season exceeded 50%.
