Poland: high demand for Gloster and Champion apples
The Polish market participants say of rather high demand for export-quality red apples (Gloster and Champion especially).
For the present, red apples of size 70+ (Jonagored, Ligol, Elisa varieties) are purchased from cold storage facilities at 0.23-0.26 euro/kg. Apples from CA-storage facilities are shipped at up to 0.28 euro/kg.
At the same time, the market participants sell Champion apples from CA-storage facilities at 0.31 euro/kg, while prices of Gloster apples average 0.33 euro/kg (size 70+).
