Ukraine officially stops water supply to Crimea
The State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine has announced the stop of water supply to Crimea.
The Agency states: “The North Crimean Canal is in operation now in line with the needs of water consumers in Kherson Region due to no constructive proposals to formalize contractual arrangements to cover the needs of Crimean consumers in water resources for drinking water supply and irrigation”.
The authorities also say of still unsolved issue of Crimean water consumers' debt of UAH 1.7 mln (105,000 euro) owed to the North Crimean Canal Administration.
